Mina and other stuff!
33 weeks pregnant! Feeling tired but good :)
Peek-a-Boo!
Diva-licious
This is one of Mina's favorite spots... right behind me. This time I was working on a school project with Rulon, but it really doesn't matter what I'm doing. Mina usually says, "Mom, move (meaning scoot forward) I a hug a back." It slows me down a bit but I really really love it. She does this while I'm sewing too, so straight lines get a little more challenging :)

Laughter IS the best Medicine!
At the end of a long tiring day, all I wanted was for the boys to bath themselves, make me dinner and quietly march themselves down to bed... so I decided we all needed some "medicine"... a little laughter to brighten our evening. Enter Mina. She is such a delightful little angel and she LOVES her brothers. They make her laugh and everyone loves it because it is contagious. So, you know how you have something that you totally want to record but when you get the camera out the opportunity has passed... Well, I think we did ok this time, here is the footage. Keep in mind all things are better in person.
So if you need some laughter medicine, come to my house - but give me a little heads up first :)
This little girl makes me smile every time I look at her sweet face!
I hear girls are just as sweet when they are teenagers, awesome! :)

Bringing mom and Mina home
I think that's Mina's diva look!! She was all ready to go home and so was Julie (sort of, that hospital was a great place to be as far as Julie "taking it easy" was concerned).

Smile Chester... he looks scared, like there's a new baby coming home or something. Only kidding, Chester is the calm in the storm, he is the only reason Julie stays sane and gets any rest with a new baby!!!

What a GREAT welcome home!!!! The boys were so excited to finally have mom and Mina at home. There were balloons all over the ceiling, and a custom welcome home sign that made Julie's day!!!!!

The boys got to cozy up on the couch and hold their little sister in our own home. She is SO LUCKY, or blessed actually, to have such great big brothers!

Mina joins our world
Ready, set, go! Even though I was draped to prevent total viewing priviliges, the nice anesthesiologist held a big mirror for me to watch the c-section. I was SO GLAD HE DID because I had asked my doctor if that was possible and he had said not really... so there doc, I DID SEE MY BABE BEING BORN :) It was crazy and very, shall we say... not gentle surgery. Good thing I could see and not feel the process!

Maybe it's good that this isn't a really clear shot... but this is little Mina being tugged out of my belly through the "emergency escape hatch" as I call it.
And proud dad with little Mina in the nursery getting checked and cleaned up, while I was still on the cold surgery table also getting checked and cleaned up, how ironic. It seemed like forever before I finally got moved back into my room and got to hold my baby girl!
She was 7 lbs 6 oz of beautiful perfection! Nice work Chester and Julie! Isn't Chester the best lookin daddy ever, let me answer that, YES!

A few hours later the boys came to meet their new little sister. Mads was totally ready to hold her and kiss her, Rulon was a little more stand-off-ish, he needed to be sure about this whole new tiny girl business. I think the IV and monitors on me made him nervous too, but he warmed up pretty quikly.
