Quite some time ago Rulon decided he wanted a family party at Pirate Island instead of a friends party at home...
I was so pleased! Truth be told, I thought he might change his mind as June 11th got closer. He had mentioned that it would be fun to have a party with friends because there would be games and presents.... But he stood firm with his decision: Family party at Pirate island.
Little did he know, I called Melissa to invite the Richards to be apart of the "Family Party."
It started with Jessica sleeping over so she could wake up here for the very beginning of Rulon's big day!

In the morning, we went to Rulon's tee ball game, it was beautiful today, so nice for a game!
When we got home we let Rulon open the gift from me, Chester, Mads & Mina. The others would wait til the family party.
Weird shaped box... holding a sweet guitar! Rulon asks to stop at the guitar store at the mall as often as the Disney store! Boy was he surprised!
When Chester got home from work the Richards had just arrived and we were ready to party!

We were seated in a cave to eat some pirate pizza.

Rulon got a new Hess Truck, an RV, which he LOVES!!

The Richards gave Rulon a garbage truck that Rulon has "wanted forever." (seriously)
I think I liked the pirate theme as much as Rulon did, fu-u-u-n to decorate!

The Orem Summer Fest parade passes by our house every summer. And how nice that they planned it in conjunction with Rulon's birthday!! We had prime seating, it was a sweet addition to the birthday party!
