Boys Camping Trip

Chester gets my vote for the best dad ever.  He took Rulon and Mads camping up Provo Canyon Monday night and they had a blast! A little dirt, some fire, sleeping bags and a tent, a bit of fishing, raccoons, Spitz, a litlte rain... what more do you need?

Rulon took a picture of the fire. I include this great picture because he also got Mads in the top right corner...taking a leak :)

Rulon is getting good at taking pictures of people when they expect it too!
Mads is more focused on spitting out seed shells at the moment.

Not even rain can wash the smiles off these cute faces!

The next morning the boys hopped in the ol' Chev to drive to a good fishing spot.

I'm surprised Chester could get them back in the Chev to head home.
Chester may have been ready, but the boys were not.
(Neither was Julie back home in the nice quiet house with only pretty little Mina!)

Fairbourn Family Vacation - Midway, UT

Family vacation was a blast, my boys favorite part was going to the lake and boating twice.  I am not very good at remembering to take pictures... but I did get a few good ones.
Mads went on the tube with Chester but did not like to go too fast, he laso didn't like it when Chester asked him if he wanted to jump off the tube into the water and then dumped him in the lake! Nice dad.  :)
Rulon is all smiles on the boat... why...
Anticipation of jumping of fthe boat for a little swim of course.
Mads was nervous that the boat would tip over so he kept saying, "Hold on to me weal tight, mom!"
I think this boat ride was more to Mads liking!
Hmmm, Mads in an inflatable raft with a fishing pole & HOOK?! Stay close to shore guys!
Mina kept me occupied in the shade... thanks my pretty girl,
it was HOT in the sun.
I had to include this one of Violet and Grandpa Dennis because it is sooooo darn cute! Violet is about the happiest little girl I have ever seen!
We did lots of other fun things but I am good at not taking pictures... so just imagine more smiles and happy faces!  Thanks mom & dad for getting us all together and providing such a great family vacation!!

New Bikes!!!

Mads upgraded from his Lightning McQueen car to Rulon's little bike... and Rulon upgraded from his little red bike from Mona & Gord to a cool bigger bike from Auntie Peggy!!!

Now they want to ride their bikes every day... it's pretty cool riding in circles on the driveway - for now :)

We Love Raymond!

How do we love Raymond?!? Let me count the ways!!!

#1.  We love to see Grandma Mona & Grandpa Gordie!!
Mina finally met her Grandma & Grandpa! Somehow Mona can calm Mina down WHILE SITTING DOWN, amazing... I cannot do that.  It was wonderful.  Mina gave grandma more than a few big smiles to offset the tears.

Mads got to ride on the lawn tractor with grandpa... kid heaven I tell you! AND grandpa treated the boys to a slurpee or two also.

#2. We love our Aunties, Uncles & Cousins!
Look mom, no hands!! (ps.I love you Erin)

Look at that belly!  No not yours Steph!!

Uh, what would it be like to have triplets MaRee?? Lets not find out!

Chester read stories and made up stories all night!, Mads loved it!

Nikora got Mads to hold still for a few minutes too.

The place to be is... Mona & Gords house!!!

#3. We love the July 1st Parade!
The Powelson bleacher outside of Grandma Ruth's place.
Mads and Maslin just looooved having their picture taken, well, mostly Mads loved it.

This is how Rulon watched the parade...

And this is how Mads watched the parade.  They did free up their hands briefly to collect some delish candy.

#4. We love watching the famliy play Softball!
We especially love watching dad.

#5. Mona's tasty cooking
Ok, so I don't have a good picture for this category... but TRUST ME, I'm drooling a little as I type.

Rulon will someday realize that rice and soy sauce do not compare to the real meal that is offered... but until then all we need is Peggy around to threaten to eat Rulon's food for an hour or so to get him to eat a little something substantial! (Thanks again Peggy!)

Oh boy do we ever love Canada!!! We miss you guys!
