Sick boys??

If anyone wonders if childrens/infants Motrin works in real children... both of my boys have temps of about 102 degrees but had taken their medicine like good boys and this was the result.

A day at the zoo.

With so many appointment in Salt Lake, we decided to make one of the trips fun and head across the street (literally) to the Hogle Zoo. Rulon had never been there before and was so excited to see Alex the lion (that's the lion in one of his fav movies) Well, who knew the Hogle Zoo's lion died a while ago and there is no replacement... oh well, he loved all the other animals and the carousel too!!

Last night Chester took Rulon camping for the first time. You should have seen Rulon leading up to the trip... he was so excited he was dancing and doing flips and of course helping me get the stuff ready. He was also quick to verify that mom and Mads were NOT going with them. He said his favorite part was the fire, go figure.

We love Canada vacations!!!

It has been a little while ago now, but across the end of June and beginning of July we went to Canada to visit Chester's family and join in the July 1st festivities!

This is our BIG Powelson family. Can you believe most of us are looking at the camera and not blinking, wow.

And this is just Chester's immediate family, mom, dad, 6 bros and 6 sisters! I love this series of pictures! Chester and Mark decided to get their dad with some big fat smooches... Gord had no hope of escaping! The last pic is so great with Chester and his dad smiling so big. I love my husband so much, and I know where he gets all his goodness - from his dad! I just love Gordie, almost as much as Chester loves him :)

You wouldn't even know that Rulon was in a rotton mood...And, well, Erin may not be my "real" sister but she might as well be. Isn't this just the cutest little family?! Steph, Erin and Maslin. Maslin is only ablut 5 months younger than Mads.

Rulon was a lucky little dude, he got to go to work to see, ride in and OPERATE some of Grandpa Gordies big machinery!

Rulon and Julie also got to go horseback riding, Rulon was a little nervous at first, but then he was really proud of himself!

Rulon's favorite place to play was the sand box... he just didn't like to get cleaned up AFTER playing in the sand box.These little dudes are going to be good buddies!! Mads and Maslin got to play, push eachother over, slobber on blocks and truely bond.

The canada day parade was more fun this year because Rulon was not scared of all the noise and horns and sirens, AND he "got it" that he was supposed to collect candy to eat later (or at that very moment)

AND THEN THERE WAS SOFTBALL!!!! The true "reason" for the family to get together... ok, not really, but almost. First of all you must see the fabulous, almost famous facial hair that brings good luck to team Powelson...
