Plan B.

So much for the stripes and dots crib stuff and the easy matching pre-fab curtains... I just didnt like them. Soooo, I got my coupons and collected up the kids and went to the fabric store to buy facric to make my own curtains... they "go" with the new (and much preferred) crib bedding instead of matching, and I like it that way. The brown valence is a bit, um dark?, but it's ok, couldnt find the "perfect" fabric for a valence, so brown it was. Anyway it is done, i love the boy crib bedding, nice, clean lines and simply cute. Mina might be sleeping on blue sheets for a little while so I can sell her pink crib set. The bonus, I saved a lot of $$ doing this my way.

Happy 35 Chester!!

Chester lovingly requested that I hold his hand and walk him through being 35, you know, show him how it's done. Ha Ha funny guy. He was a good sport because we celebrated his birthday while we were still down in St George for the holidays. I dare say he fared better in St G than he would have at home cuz my parents watched the kids so we could go out on a date, AND my mom made a killer dinner, menu selected by Chester himself. Yup, he did juuuust fine.

This big grin is thanks to Mona and Gord who gave him a vey nice and sentimentally priceless pocketwatch, knife and chain that Mona gave to Gord years ago. Every time we visit Chester's family in Raymond Chester asks to just hold the watch and look at it for a minute. Now he can hold it all he wants! Thank you Gord and Mona! Now he just has to keep our boys away from it for a few years.

Mina was after those candles like a crazy lady! Had to re-light a few times to get the whole birthday song in. It looks like Mads is eyeballin the candles too. The race is on, hurry Chester, make a wish already!

Do I like ANY of these combos?

Ok, in an attempt to make Mina's room into Mina and baby brother's room I thought I'd go with Browns as the dominant color with pinks for her bed, etc and blues for the crib, etc... but do i even like any of these curtain combinations?? Any opinions? or are they all too geometric and blah...

If it matters, the crib would have dots sheet with stripes crib skirt and blue bumper........
