St George for Labor Day

Visiting mom and dad in St George was like magic!! It was such a nice vacation for us, I dont know who enjoyed it thte most.  The boys were in the pool as much as possible and mom and dad made it real easy on me doing as much as possible for the kids so I could... not do so much.

The boys got brave in a hurry!!!  In no time they were both jumping, diving and flipping into the pool.  Thanks to the life jackets nobody drowned.  I do think these boys could learn to swim in no time.

Mina warmed up to grandma in no time, except at nap time, but she didn't like me so much at nap time either!

Mina sat with grandpa for the longest time squirting him with little fishies.   Sometimes grandpa was fast enough refilling the fish, sometimes Mina let out a squeal of impatience.  She was loving it!!

Thanks so much for the wonderful long weekend mom and dad!!

Thanksgiving in St. George

The morning we were to drive to St. George I woke up to the sound of Rulon running swiftly all ove the house... when I got out of bed I found that he had "packed some things for me." I alway put our things on the washer or dryer and Chester takes them out to the car, well, Rulon helped out, that's for sure. We had to talk about what a great job he did but how we had to scale down a bit!
Obviously I am BAD at taking pictures on vacations, this is the only one I took. At least I got a supre cute one!!

Why do my boys love Brittney??

St. George cookin'

We did a little experiment... and the answer's are conclusive... the dirt IS red in Grandma & Grandpa's back yard. This "caught red handed" photo is evidence of one of the most benign test locations. Mads was the lucky diaper wearer who cleverly collected red dirt specimens in his bum cheeks... too much information... too bad!!
THIS my friends is the red neck fire pit, need I say more?
Once up and burning it is one heck of a great cookin pit!!! Dogs and s'mores came away perfectly cooked by both young and old and by old I am referring to myself as I did take as many naps as the little boys which must mean I am old because Rulon tells me I am definitely not young (sigh)

St.George! Making cookies with Grandma!

When Rulon heard he would be making cookies with grandma he coul not wait to get to St. George. SERIOUSLY!!! Talk aout a haapy boy, he got to roll, cut, cook and frost the cookies!!!

YUP, I THINK HE'S HAPPY!! And I happen to know that the cookies were delicious!
