Easter Eggs!!
This morning we drove through a crazy April blizzard to spent some time decorating Easter eggs with Melissa and the family!! My boys don't even realize how lucky they are because without Melissa (and Lindsay last year in Texas) they would never have decorated an Easter egg in their young lives! This was before the fun began, we gave some little rice krispie treat nests with robin eggs in them to each of the kiddos (and Melis & Dan of course)
Ready... set... go!! Nice set up Melissa, seriously great organization to the project!!!!!!!!!
Rulon did great, pretty much did everything on his own. He is so careful it makes it easy for me to focus on helping Mads.
Look at Mads watching Rulon's every move, a common sight :)
Mads liked to scribble or have me write his name on each egg before dunking it in a color.
Rulon is pointing out his favorite egg.
It was a total blast!! The funy thing was when we got home Rulon wanted to try one of his eggs, so I helped him peel it and he was already confused about the "hard" egg inside the shell. You see, we have never had hard boiled eggs in our house. So I cut it in a few slices on a plate put a little salt on a piece and Rulon took a taste. Now he is scarred for life. He about puked, cried and tantrumed in the same second. He RAN to the garbage spit it out and ran down the stairs yelling how he didn't ever want his eggslike that EVER again. So, that went well. :)

I am laughing SO HARD at Rulon's reaction to the hard boiled eggs! HILARIOUS!!!!! Ohhh, my gosh, and he ran of crying about it---that's the kind of kid reaction that will crack you up everytime you relive it. HAHAHAHA!!!
MAN we loved having you guys over!
How fun!!! I'm jealous of the organization!! We do eggs here every year, but I just put papers all over the floor, and paper towel! There are usually so many little kids here that they do about 12 or 14 dozen eggs! Looks like you had a great time!!
Love the photos.....the next best thing to being there!
Nice eggs. Best keep Rulon's eggs in the shell. "Crack you up" Melissa...serious punster there...
hahahaha.. never would have expected that reaction!
